The SC-40 is a card reader and printer that transforms your mobile phone into a full-fledged credit card machine. Supported phones include BlackBerry, Android, Palm, and Windows Mobile. The SC-40 can connect to your phone via Bluetooth or your serial connection. It securely transfers transaction data to a gateway on your mobile device after a credit card has been swiped. The SC-40 then prints a receipt for your customer at the point of sale.
The SC-40 is not phone dependent, which means you can switch between mobile phones and it will still process transactions on the different mobile phones.
Encryption
The Wireless SC-40 is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliant device equipped with the highest level of security. Transaction data is encrypted when a card is swiped and remains secure as it is sent to the payment gateway for processing.
